SURVEYING & LEVELLING
This course
is designed as an introduction for students who have a working
knowledge of the built environment ,with experience on site
and a good application of maths. Students should have a ‘mentor
‘ to supervise their work especially regarding use of
the equipment etc.
The course reading consists of lesson material and an excellent
text book with twelve lessons as follows;

2 - Chain Surveying
3 - Field Notes and Plotting
4 - Gravitational Levelling I
5 - Gravitational Levelling II
6 - Contouring
7 - Methods of Measurement Areas
8 - Measuring up Existing Buildings
9 - Use of Theodolite
10 - Theodolite Surveying
11 - Tacheomatic Surveying
12 - Setting Out Construction Works
On completion of the course the student should be competent
at handling the various surveying equipment ,taking levels
on site, lining out, traversing and undertaking general setting
out .and will receive a Premier School of Building ‘Certificate
of Completion’.
The course may commence at any time and should be completed
within 3 months (i.e. 80 hours of study) depending upon the
students previous knowledge of the subject
