PROJECT MANAGEMENT
This course
is designed as an introduction for students who wish to develop
their knowledge and skills relating to Project Management within
the Construction Industry . It may also be of benefit to students
who have a working knowledge of the subject and who wish to
broaden that knowledge and apply the principles to the test.
The course reading consists of lesson material and an excellent
reference book with ten lessons as follows:

3 - Systems Theory and Construction Project Organisation
4 - The Client and the Project Team
5 - A Model of the Construction Process
6 - Content Activities of Project Management
7 - Authority, Power and Politics
8 - Project Leadership
9 - Organisation Structures
10 - Analysis and Design of Project Management Structures
On completion of the course the student should have a broad
knowledge of the various principles of the subject and be
able to illustrate the benefits of Project Management within
the Construction Industry .The student will receive a Premier
School of Building ‘Diploma ’ on satisfactory
completion of the course
The course may be commenced at any time and should be completed
within 3 months (i.e. 80 hours of study) depending upon the
students previous knowledge of the subject
