DIPLOMA IN PROPERTY SURVEYING by distance learning

This course is designed for students who are entering the Property/Construction industry and for those who are currently engaged within the industry but would like a change of direction.

The course comprises of the four single subject short courses listed below and will provide students with the underpinning knowledge and understanding needed to progress within the industry.

• Construction Technology
• Material Science & Testing
• Building Maintenance & Repairs
•Surveying of Buildings

The subject material is considerable and is a serious undertaking that should be looked upon as a technical update of working knowledge, thus providing preparation for any future role within the construction industry or local authority.

The course may take up to twelve months to complete depending on previous experience and the amount of time allocated to study each week. Students will be required to prepare a ‘Student Information Portfolio’ (SIP) as part of their studies, which will then assist them in the preparation of technical answers.

On enrolment a ‘study program’ will be provided. It may prove useful for the student to arrange the assistance of a ‘mentor’ from his/her workplace.

Each single subject will take approximately three months to complete but this may vary for a variety of reasons i.e. age, experience, outside commitments etc.

On satisfactory completion of the course, a Premier School of Building ‘Diploma in Property Surveying’ will be awarded. As the mode of study is distance learning there are no examinations as all the assessment is based upon the work submitted.

Premier School of Building is a correspondence school and is not involved in NVQ’s, Site Assessments or CSCS Skill Tests.
